Susan G. Komen Maryland is a top-ranked affiliate in the world’s largest breast cancer charity. Though fundraising events like the Race for the Cure, Komen Maryland has granted nearly $27 million in the last 24 years to local organizations that provide screening, treatment and survivor support. In addition to grants on the local level, Komen Affiliates have contributed more than $800 million in global funding for innovative research. Since 1982, Komen has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer.
