In more than 18,000 communities across the U.S., more than 75,000 Komen volunteers and staff work to help fund breast cancer education, screening, and treatment programs for those who need it most. In Maryland alone, since 1993, more than $37 million have been invested to support research, provide education and support needs-based community grants. That’s in addition to the thousands we invest each year in promising research.
Our Community Health approach is designed to reduce breast cancer mortality in communities throughout Maryland. We have many different types of programs to address the various needs of local communities.
