Meet Our Newest Board Members

Komen Maryland is pleased to introduce our three newest board members, Diane Mason, Valencia McClure, and Shari Pire. All three women bring strong leadership and fundraising experience to Komen Maryland.

Diane Mason is the Director of Financial Systems and Projects at Exelon/Constellation and has been an active supporter of Komen Maryland. She is a fundraiser for the Ocean City Race for the Cure and the former Race in Hunt Valley. For several years, Diane has served on the Komen Maryland Finance Committee. Last year she also volunteered on the Inaugural Promise Ride Committee.

Valencia McClure is the Vice President of Governmental and External Affairs at BGE. Valencia has been a top fundraiser and team captain for the Hunt Valley Race for the Cure, earning Pink Honor Roll status (raising a minimum of $1,000 for the Race). A breast cancer survivor, she has spoken on behalf of Komen Maryland about her personal experience with breast cancer on WBAL TV-11 and recently spoke at the press conference to announce the Race for the Cure moving to Baltimore.

Shari Pire is the Chief Legal Officer at Cognate BioServices, Inc. Shari brings years of legal experience in the biomedical world and her fundraising experience to Komen Maryland.
